Tried it Thursday {Half Bun}

So if you’ve ever met me – you know I’m the laziest person ever when it comes to doing my hair. Most of the time my hair is just down in its natural state, which is generally wavy and a little freezy (I really don’t care tbh).

However, lately I’ve been trying to care a little more.

So my darling sister, Katherine was talking to me other day about how the half bun is in style. I jumped for joy! The half bun is my go to straightening my hair technique, ya know throw up the top half to straighten the bottom half then let it down. I used to think it looked silly, but it’s slowly grown on me. It’s all over Pinterest. This is a personal favorite straight from the glorious land of Pinterest:

I'm on the fence about half top knots...but there's something I really dig about them. Hmmm.

Anywho, so here’s the “Tried it” part……

Tuesday I realized I hadn’t washed my hair in a while, but I was running late to work (good job Elisebeth….) So I spritzed some dry shampoo in my hair and was about to run out the door. My  hair still looked awful so I found this tutorial on Pinterest: http://treasuresandtravelsblog.com/blog/2015/2/18/hair-tutorial-half-up-knot

This is honestly THE easiest hairstyle in the world. The best part about it is probably that you can do it at any height on your head, like it all looks good. I swear. Here’s what it looked like on me on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

I’m in the plaid – this was taken by a friend of a client as I did a photoshoot!

As you can see, it looks quite nice. These two half buns I wore on Tuesday and Wednesday probably took me less than two minutes to do! If you’re running late and still have to do your hair, I highly recommend you try this hairstyle!
